Renovation Timeline
2003-04
WSU, in conjunction with
Ellerbe Beckett and Spokane firm ALSC, creates master
plan to renovate and add seats to Martin Stadium.
November 2004
HOK Sports and Spokane firm Madsen, Mitchell, Evenson
& Conrad are chosen as project architects.
November 2005
Construction phases are put into place, segmenting
renovation into three, possibly four, phases.
March 2006
Students vote in favor of a referendum that will place a
$25 per semester fee beginning Fall Semester 2006.
Duration of fee will be no more than 25 years.
June 2006
Schematic design complete; design development period
begins.
Summer 2006
Handrails are added to aisles on south (press box) side
stands.
Fall 2006
Construction documents assembled, bidding for
construction begins.
December 2006
Construction on Phases I and II began.
Fall 2008
Phases I and II scheduled
to be completed.
2009 and Beyond
Construction on Phase III is tentatively scheduled to
begin in early 2009. No timeline has been set for Phase
IV.
All future dates are tentative and assume no delays or alterations to the current schedule.
